THE EDITORS CONSOLE
The Console is the command center of Ecostamps. You'll use it to review submissions, add categories to your submission form, manage subscriptions, promote contests, and much more. An overview of console features is provided below.
Submission Form
A toolbox containing everything needed to manage your Ecostamps submission form.
  • Categories: Add, edit, and remove categories and contests.
  • Reading Periods: Set global and category-specific reading periods.
  • Submission Guidelines: Include guidelines in the Ecostamps submission form or add a link to guidelines posted on your web site.
  • FAQs: Include a frequently asked questions section in the submission form or add a link to FAQs posted on your web site.
  • Logo/Cover: Include your logo or the cover of a recent issue on the submission form.
  • Waivers/Agreements: Include global and category-specific waivers and agreements that must be accepted by authors before submitting their work.
Submissions
Review, evaluate, and workshop submissions.
  • My Assignments: A quick link to submissions awaiting review in assigned categories.
  • Final Review: Review is a two-step process. The initial evaluation includes ratings, notes, feedback, and comments. Submissions may also be assigned to other editors for review. In the next step, final decisions, whether a submission has been accepted or declined for publication, are communicated to authors. This two-step process enables editors to review many submissions over the course of a reading period and sort them into groups before communicating final decisions to authors.
  • Workshop: A secure area to collaborate and exchange ideas with editors and authors on a submission prior to publication.
  • Search: Use this tool to search or filter submissions in the Ecostamps archives.
Assessments
Components to streamline the review process and efficiently provide substantive feedback to authors, completing the virtuous circle created by Ecostamps.
  • Ratings: Create customized ratings to be included in Assessments.
  • Letters: Create and edit acceptance and rejection letter templates that include dynamic fields, such as first and last name, submission title, etc., for greater customization and personalization.
  • Suggestions: An optional Assessments component that enables editors to create an easily accessed catalog of suggestions and advice to provide authors on their work.
  • Rejection Reasons: Another optional Assessments component that enables editors to easily present a standard list of reasons why a submission was not accepted for publication.
  • Internal Use-Only: Create groups and elements to tag submissions for simplified filing, sorting, and retrieval. Internal use items do not appear on Assessments.
Greenmail
A complete email solution fully integrated with the Ecostamps store and submission archive.
  • Compose/Send: Promote contests, announce special subscription rates, send reminders of upcoming deadlines. Greenmail puts dynamic, customized emails at your fingertips.
  • Contacts: The contacts list consists of two groups: registered Ecostamps users and custom contacts. Ecostamps users is a comprehensive list of individuals who have either submitted work, placed an order, or renewed a subscription through your Ecostamps submission form or store. Custom contacts is the list of individuals you imported and manually entered in the console. Both types of contacts can be combined in customized groups for ease of use.
  • Import/Export: Import or export contacts to or from a mail client such as Outlook or Outlook Express, spreadsheet, or text file.
  • Sent Items: An archive of emails sent through Greenmail.
Ecostamps Store
